Classrooms

Infant/Toddler
Rainbow Room
Since the infant room is usually the parent's first experience with childcare, we strive to be a comforting presence in parent's lives. We strive to help the babies reach their developmental milestones, including rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and eventually, walking. The classroom provides a warm, nurturing environment where each baby is special and babies are encouraged to explore and develop new skills at their own pace. Equipment and toys are safe and age appropriate. The room arrangements satisfy individual needs by allowing space for eating, sleeping, and playing. The infant room schedule allows flexibility to meet each child’s needs as well as leaving room for some planned activities. It also facilitates the infant’s curiosity and promotes self-learning, which aids mastery of the skills necessary for problem resolution.

Toddlers
Safari Friends
As with our other classrooms, we address all the developmental domains of the growing Toddler by watching how they are progressing socially, physically, emotionally and cognitively. The Toddlers independence is encouraged in self-help skills such as sitting for meal times, eating with silverware, putting on their own clothing and outerwear, and assisting in their toilet training. We encourage the toddler’s emotional and social development by helping each child recognize and deal with the complexities and challenges of his/her feelings. This is accomplished by working on a trusting and loving relationship with each child. Showing respect, learning to share and helping one another is a doorway to developing caring relationships with adults and with their peers.

Two Year Old's
Dinosaur Friends
A Toddler’s best mode of learning is primarily through play where they have opportunities for hands on exploration. Teacher directed activities are also integrated into the curriculum throughout the daily schedule. With dependable settings and routines in place, the growing toddler begins to feel secure in an environment where they will start to increase their skill and competencies and develop individually and with their peers.

Three Year Old's
Rainbow Room
Three-year-olds learn primarily through exploring, using all the senses. While playing, they are better able to ignore distractions and focus on the task at hand. They will even persist in completing something that is a bit difficult and can think more creatively and methodically when solving problems.

Four Year Old's
Treehouse Room
A child’s feeling of independence and social interaction with others is what the 4 Year Old room is all about. Our preschool program revolves around the children learning to help themselves and getting along with others.
During the course of the day, children are encouraged to make choices for themselves, cooperate with others as well as listen and follow directions. During the course of the program the classroom teachers lead the children in small and large group activities, such as movement, read-a-loud stories, circle time and art activities. The children are encouraged to make friends, share and communicate with their classmates.Â
In preparation for the Pre-KÂ classroom, the 4 Year Old's work on their hand writing skills, colors, shapes and numbers. This also gives each teacher the opportunity to work one-on-one with each student.

Pre-K Room
PreK Boho Rainbow
What makes pre-school fun? What makes a child want to learn? It is a preschool program like ours. Our safe and enriching program focuses on all aspects of creative learning. Hands on activities encompass exciting monthly themes which include nutrition, cooking, holidays, dinosaurs and safety, to name just a few.
The preschooler's rotate to a variety of learning centers which offer items to help stimulate young imaginative minds. Literacy is introduced with the letter of the week, creative writing and circle time readings.
Calendar time introduces them to the days of the week and the months of the year. Patterns, graphing, simple math and science activities are included in the weekly program.
Music, movement, and playground times are a favorite part of each day. The children’s art is proudly displayed around the room. Fine motor skills are used daily as they participate in themed take home projects. Their individuality is appreciated and their achievements are applauded.
Positive discipline methods are used so the children do not feel singled out or embarrassed. Preparing these young minds for kindergarten is a primary goal of the teachers as they encourage verbal skills, teach self-help skills and promote self assurance.
